Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see an "I Like This" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
September 12th was another rainy day (we have been having a lot of those lately!) - and although Lauren's ceremony was moved inside (the entire event was at Riverdale Manor) - the day was beautiful and magical! (And I say magical, because one of Lauren and Eric's friends is a magician! You will see more of him later, but he helped out with some fun at the reception.) Eric and Lauren's own magic was an amazing thing. Eric had played and recorded all of the ceremony music himself, and there weren't many dry eyes in the house, including his own, as Lauren walked down the aisle.
After the ceremony, the rain let up for a bit, and we were able to get outside with the wedding party and Lauren and Eric to get a few shots on the property. Everything was glistening with rain, but it made for a cool environment to shoot in. Lauren and Eric definitely had fun! We even, *gasp* shot in a gazebo - but our take on it was a little different than your normal gazebo type stuff. :)
The reception was a huge party with one of our favorite local DJs, Matt from Occassions - these guys were dancers, and were all over the floor! Huge congrats to Lauren and Eric, and a thanks for allowing us to be there for your day. Enjoy the photos!
Lauren's mom seeing Lauren for the first time! There were some tears flowing here for sure. :)

Duh! Just found this post that I never made from this summer!!! We went to Cape May for a few days way back in June, so here are some shots of us playing on the beach! Nothing too fancy, but it sure makes you miss summer doesn't it?!?! Enjoy these while we get some wedding blog posts ready - we got 3 fabulous weddings to blog this week! Stay tuned! By the way, these were all taken with our new point and shoot - our little underwater camera had finally taken a dump, so we bought this one on the way to vacation. It is the Olympus Stylus 1030 SW - waterproof, dustproof and wide angle! Who needs more?

The firehouse saved the day! Angela and Ryan's Wedding Wednesday, September 24, 2008
September 6th we spent the day with Angela and Ryan. I am sure you are wondering what I mean by the title - it rained that day pretty darn good, and we didn't have a back up plan for wedding party and couple photos for after the ceremony. Luckily, one of Angela's bridesmaids, Erin, had a solution. Love those bridesmaids! Erin's dad is the Chief of Fire Police for Harrisburg, and she was able to get us in to the Fire House Museum for photos. It was dry, spacious, and had some rad firetrucks! We were really excited, and got some neat photos from it. We had the entire wedding party in the museum, did some shots of them on firetrucks and then spent some time with Angela and Ryan running around the museum.
So now that I explained that and you aren't wondering if I am going crazy, let me tell you about the rest of Angela and Ryan's day. First of all, we always love showing off the engagement photos from our couples - we spent some time with Angela and Ryan last fall on City Island in Harrisburg for their ENGAGEMENT SESSION oh, AND we photographed Angela's sister's wedding in 2006. (The fabulous Jessica and Jared.) So we were super excited to work with them and their family again. Despite the weather, Angela was really calm when we arrived at the Milestone Inn. We grabbed some getting ready and some portraits of Angela and jetted over to the church, which is one of our favorites - Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament on 3rd street.
After the ceremony was when we did the firehouse shots, which you heard about above, and then it was back to the Milestone for the party. And party it was! The rain stopped during the reception, allowing people to move about a bit more, and we were able to get some great sunset shots down on the river. A special surprise for Ryan during the reception was a custom made groom's cake - 007 style! Apparently Ryan is a huge fan and Angela surprised him with his very own 007 logo replica cake. It was smokin!
We were so excited to work with this family again and everyone was so nice. We felt like just another guest which is what we want! The photos below tell the story in a nutshell, check them out! Oh yeah, and that header photo up above - yeah that's me, shooting in the rain, holding an umbrella. This was just as Angela and Ryan were walking out after the ceremony - Joel thought I looked "cute" standing there among all of those umbrellas! :)
Here's Jessica helping Angela with her makeup in the mirror at the Milestone.

Angela had this amazing choker necklace, which you don't see many of anymore (at least we don't) and it was just stunning with her dress!

I love this one - Angela and Ryan climbed up onto the bed of one of the firetrucks for me and I convinced them to lay down in the hoses. I love it when our couples are willing to do cool stuff!

Oh yeah - I almost forgot! Ryan's brother's girlfriend, requested "Freak on a Leash" by Korn for Ryan's brother - she said it was the only thing he would dance to! So yeah, slam dancing busted out on the dance floor!

Just wanted to throw a little post up here quick - we are so excited, Joel's cousin Daniel is in another movie! A few years back he was in the movie, The Gridiron Gang, and now he is in another, The Express. He mainly has done football movies to date. Anyway, below is a wallpaper from The Express web site - Daniel is in it! He is all the way in the back right corner. I posted a photo below also of him with Joel and his other cousins so you know which one he is.
We are so excited for the movie to come out! If you get a chance, go see it! It looks like it is going to be a great one. :)
