Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Well it's official, Jess and Andrew's wedding on Nov. 8th was our 2nd to last wedding of the year. We have one more coming up at the end of December. I feel like it's been forever since I have blogged a wedding - with all of the portrait sessions we have been doing!
We were really looking forward to working with Jess again - we photographed her brother's wedding four years ago. Her brother Jason, and wife Dara, now have a beautiful little baby girl, Ava - you will see her in some photos below! How stinkin' cute!
For this wedding, we headed up the valley - the valley being our hometown stomping grounds, northeast of Harrisburg. Jess and Andrew were married at Jess' family's church in Valley View, PA and the reception was held at Kevin's Place in Lykens, PA. Brings back memories! Going up home is always an eye opener, as I see so many things from my childhood and teenage years that just come flooding back. Although Jess and Andrew now live down near Philadelphia, all of their friends and family came together for this wonderful day in the valley! Andrew was a little nervous at having his photo taken by us in the beginning, but at the end of the day he said it was a piece of cake! And we got some totally rockin portraits of the two of them that I particularly love. After the ceremony at the church, we headed over to a property that Jess' church pastor owns, and had some great times. The property had an old mill on it, and several different old, falling down sheds and buildings. Perfect for us! We love that kind of thing.
There are so many awesome pics, let's take a look!
Check out these kickin' shoes! :)

We kind of borrowed this house across the street from the church for some of Andrew's portraits.

Jen, Steve, Gus and Sal - A Fave Family Returns! Tuesday, November 18, 2008
You may remember a couple of years ago we photographed this lovely family when there were only 3 of them - Baby Gus is all grown up! He has a cute little brother now too, Baby Sal! :) We love these guys to pieces, Jen's family actually owns one of our favorite local catering companies, Rettew's Catering, and we have worked with her at many weddings over the last several years. It's always fun to see her away from that setting, and having fun with her family!
Joel and I couldn't wait to photograph Jen and Steve and the boys - one day last week we met up with them at Lititz Springs Park, and had some fun! We played on the playground, fed the ducks, took a walk and generally had a pretty fantabulous time. Gus and Sal are little angels and Jen is so lucky!
Let's see what these guys were up to...
Sal wasn't too sure about us at first, but he soon warmed up. :)

Frank and Gianna - 1 and 2 year olds that mean business Monday, November 17, 2008
Ok, that header photo was just too cute not to use! Gianna REALLY didn't want Frank pushing her in her little firetruck!
These two were toddlers on the go, and they wanted to GO! Joel and I had our work cut out for us, even Kelly, Frank and Gianna's mom warned us that they don't ever sit still. They were like jumping beans! Frank is only 1 year old, but man can he go on those 2 little feet of his. He also had an extreme infatuation with our cameras. As in, he really wanted to play with them! Every time Joel or I would get up close with Frank, he would reach out and grab the camera, and when we would pull away, he would start to cry! I felt so bad for the little guy. Gianna, Frank's older sister by 13 months, was in the terrible twos, and she had a bit of a temper tantrum when Frank started pushing her in the firetruck. Mommy put an end to that, and let her cool off inside while we grabbed a few more shots of Frank outside. Gianna came back out then and was just fine and found a nice flag to play with. :)
These two were little cuties and we really enjoyed working with them despite the few bumps in the road. Little ones are just so stinkin' awesome, how can you not get great shots of them?

What a kickin family! Jasmine, Kent, Parker, Sarah and Clare! Friday, November 14, 2008
Oh yeah! We were blasting through portrait sessions the other week, and all of them rocked! I have to say when Jasmine first scheduled her appointment we were a little hesitant. She had said that their youngest, Clare, was pretty shy and they haven't had much luck with her and photos. We were a little worried, but figured the Wiebner charm would win her over - and boy did it!
When we first arrived at their house for the session, I spent a little time alone with Jasmine and Clare up in her room while Joel hung out with the older kids and Kent outside. I wanted Clare to get totally comfortable with us before we started shooting. We read some books in her room, and I talked to mom. I think it really helped her loosen up for us. We went outside and had a blast! I also just found out from Jasmine that it turns out Clare was sick that day and running a fever! She didn't even know it until after the session and though Clare felt warm. Turns out the poor thing had a sinus infection. I think she did wonderfully though.
Kent, Jasmine and the kids live in Ephrata in an area that has a really awesome trail next to it. After we played in the yard for a bit, we took off down the trail and found some great fall color to shoot in. They also had an old brickyard across the street from their house, so we ended up there at the end. It was really cool!

Sarah is a real ham, even though her mom said she can be really shy too sometimes.

Renee, Matt, and Adelynn! Friday, November 14, 2008
Renee, Matt and Adelynn were just so much fun! Adelynn is 16 months old, and Renee thought it was about time to have some shots of her and also of all 3 of them together. Adelynn was just SO adorable and it was easy to get great shots of her. Mom and dad were also super enthusiastic and it made for such an easy session.
Oh and how fab is Adelynn's room? We were really having fun with all of the cute things Renee had put in her room. After we played in there, we went outside and Adelynn was just all over the place. She was runnin' and we were followin'!
