Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!

I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita

A 4th of July Wedding - Randi and Ben!
Sunday, July 20, 2008

|

Oh yeah, oh yeah! If we were going to spend the 4th of July shooting a wedding, it was going to be for someone special. And who else than the Larson family? We photographed Kelly and Greg's wedding last summer, and when Randi contacted us for her wedding, we certainly wanted to accept! We loved working with their entire family and knew that another wedding would be a blast - and we weren't disappointed!
Randi and Ben were just so pleasant and easy-going - nothing really phased them about the wedding day. We had gorgeous weather right up until the reception - and then it rained steadily the rest of the evening. The ceremony was at their church in Morrisville, and the reception followed at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell. To follow tradition, we had some friendly athletic competition between members of the wedding party (fence-climbing, what else?) - and then spent the evening tearing up the floor.
I wish there were more Larson girls to be married, Randi is the last - we just love working with them all so much!
Randi has a really stunning dress, she looked just amazing in it. |

Randi's dad and Ben's dad - there was serious business going on with the men getting ready...

And the gals arrived and were ready in no time flat - I really like this shot of all 3 sisters together.

Ben trying to figure out his cuff links in the church corridor.

These 3 are just so fun together!

We found this great barn right next to the church, it goes perfectly with their dresses, and I just love how they are all standing, just fits so well.

Ben was a pretty serious guy. We kept on trying to get him to bust up laughing, and we would only really get a quick smile for a split second - until this shot that is! Joel of course did something very Joel-like - and Ben reacted accordingly. I was so glad I was there to get this, what a great expression!

Ah, yes, the ceremony and first glimpse!

As soon as these two recessed down the aisle, they snuck into a room and Joel caught this...

They were having WAY too much fun up there...

This is not something you see your average bride doing on a daily basis. All of the sisters hopped the fence, and Randi of course couldn't let them outdo her...even in a wedding dress - off she goes!

A little bit of July 4th theme - flags were all over the place, and Kelly and one of the groomsmen were using them to their full potential.

Instead of your normal blank guest signature book, Randi had a book of photos from New York, and had guests sign in the book. It was a really cute idea. We did a couple of ring shots using some of the photos in the book. I liked this one the best. :)

These guys were great - and kept the floor full all night!

There are ALL of the Larson girls - Randi and her sisters and her mom- they were carrying on something fierce while Ben was dancing with his mom!

ooooh and these looked sooo yummy! Mini ice cream cones!

I don't even have a clue...really I don't...

Even though the guests weren't able to use the sparklers earlier because of the rain, we had a pack to play with at the end of the night for Randi and Ben's last shot. This one is so cool!

Lakehouse Inn - Christine & Scott's Thursday wedding

How unusual it is, but we have never had a wedding on a Thursday before. Because of the July 4th weekend, Christine and Scott decided to take advantage of the holiday weekend, and have their wedding on July 3rd, a Thursday. What a gorgeous day! We had never been to the Lake House Inn in Perkasie, PA before, so we were really excited to get to a new location. We really enjoy going to new locations, as it is a total blank canvas and we get to create and have fun in a new place.
The details of this wonderful day were totally fab, with luscious floral arrangements literally everywhere - they were done by
Murphy & Kline Floral Studio. The staff at the Lakehouse was running around everywhere, making sure everything was perfect. Robyn, the coordinator at the Lakehouse was super helpful, and even gave me some bandaids when I realized that my new wedding day shoes were doing a number on my poor feet. The thing about new shoes for work is that you don't really have a great way of breaking them in, except to just wear them to a wedding. After Christine and Scott had shared their first glimpse, and we had done some portraits of them and their wedding party - I realized that my feet were a-hurtin'! I pulled my one shoe off and had a humongous blister on it. I was glad for Robyn's help. Usually I carry some bandaids in my bag, but I was totally out, so she came to the rescue.
Just before the ceremony, thunderstorm clouds started rolling in and we were a bit worried about the weather. But the good old Wiebner weather luck held out, and the outdoor ceremony went on as planned. It did make for a really dramatic sky, which Joel got a shot of below during the ceremony.
The reception totally rocked! Everyone was all over the dance floor and we were eating it up! Apparently Scott is normally not much of a dancer, but he was tearin' up the floor that night! Christine kept exclaiming that she didn't know who this strange man was. It was pretty funny. Mark and Chris from Synergetic Sounds, seriously had the floor packed all night. They kept the music flowing and people on the floor - they were really great to work with. And for any of you Mark Wahlberg fans out there - Mark is a dead ringer for him!
The night ended with a bit of a 4th of July touch - guests holding sparklers lined the walkway and Christine and Scott took off towards their hideaway inside the Lake House!
This first shot is totally rad - I grabbed it while the girls were getting ready and really had fun playing with the light and mirrors in this room. |

The first glimpse! These two decided to see each other before the ceremony to get some photos done. Scott just couldn't stop smiling when he saw Christine walk over.

The interior of the Lakehouse is spectacular - we had to use some of the great interior decor before we headed outside.

Down by the lake, we got the wedding party involved.

So many great details! Fans were set up on the chairs for the guests during the ceremony.

And the florist had a great pink gerbera daisy display in front of one of the windows with all of the seating arrangements.

Christine and her dad anxiously awaiting the trip down the aisle.

Told you that sky rocked. What a spectacular view!

Ok, you can't really tell what is going on in this pic, but I have to elaborate cause it was funny. Scott went to break the glass, and it slipped right out from under his foot and went flying across the ground. That is what produced these wonderful reactions. :)

Scott's sister isn't quite so sure about this hors d'oeuvre - I think they were all scrumptious though!

The reception interior was eye pleasing.

Scott, still smiling, as he danced with his beautiful bride.

The colors in this shot are just wow! Love them!

Christine with her mom and grandma, they were all so cute together!

Had to put these two in here! We did Kelly and Greg's wedding last summer, and they were guests here at this wedding! Plus, we did Kelly's sister's wedding the day after this one, on July 4th - but that will be coming soon!

These guests were all having a blast as you can see. Here they are showing off for the videographer!

At the very end, just before the sparklers came out - one of the last songs was from Dirty Dancing, "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" - and Christine and Scott were doing a little recreating of the dance from the movie. It was too cute!

Ah yes, night over! Congrats guys!

Out on the Susquehanna
Thursday, July 10, 2008
|
|
|

This is just a random little image I took yesterday while out paddling around the Susquehanna River. Kingston and I decided late in the day that instead of riding bikes today we would hit the water. We paddled upstream for about an hour and found this cool log over rock. I dared King to climb it, and this image is the result. I could kick myself for not taking another camera, because this was taken with an iPhone. Looks like a good place to pose a bride, no? :)
