Do you like to have fun? We do, especially with our photos. We wanted something a little different than the average blog out there, so along with our super talented Blog designer we came up with a Favorites section - or "Wiebner Faves" as we like to call it. What is it you ask? more »
Well, under each photo, you will see a "Vote for Favorite" box. If you really like that image, if it tickles your fancy, or makes you laugh, or just plain old makes you smile - go ahead - check it. We know you want to. Each time that box is clicked on a photo, it adds to the running tally for that image. The top 14 favorite images on the entire blog will be shown as thumbnails in this section. Just so you can see the most popular images of all time on the blog. A little something out of the ordinary - it never hurts to be different!
Also, blog posts can be favorites. Now that we have comments available, you will see a little bar meter at the bottom left of each post. Once the meter hits a certain number of comments, its automatically promoted to a "Wiebner Fave Post". :) Something else just for fun!
Are you ready to advance your business? Education in our industry is important to us. The more photographers that are aware in the industry the better it is for everyone. Won't you join us in making our goals a reality? We participate in various workshops, seminars and speaking engagements. Listed below are various engagements - some are our own workshops, others we will be hosting or speaking at. If you wish to participate, please drop us a line or click the link to find out more info!
I find it incredibly difficult to write about us when put on "The Spot". "I need a 500 word bio about you and Joel, now!" Who can do that? How do you make your own personality shine in a few words, let alone that of two people? Well, I am going to give it my best shot. If you really want to know about US - who we really are - read the blog below. We really try to keep it updated as often as possible, and hope that our fun, casual personalities shine through in the words you read and the images we capture for our clients. The blog below is our way of communicating our lives - both personal and professional - with clients, friends, family and colleagues. We believe strongly in using words and images together to communicate our passion.
I am going to keep this short and sweet - Joel and I were meant to be together - to live, love and be happy making photographs. We were both photographers before we met over 9 years ago - we met behind a camera, and continue to feed off of that energy. We are a rock solid husband and wife team and we wouldn't want it any other way - we work together 24/7 and never tire of each other. We have had our business since November 2000, and have thrived on photographing weddings as our main photography genre since 2002. We love what we do. We like to think we look at the world in our own way - not photojournalistically, not traditionally, not artistically. Just as a Wiebner. If you like what we see, then you will like us too. Oh and don't forget to comment in the blog on our two little darlings - Haydn and Zane - they are pretty darn cute little Wiebners. Enjoy! - Rita
Yay for Lindsey and Aaron! Lindsey has been one of our babysitters for years now, and her and Aaron have finally had a little one of their own. We couldn't be happier - Leah is such a sweetie!

We Made It! Rangefinder Wedding Issue Monday, March 8, 2010
Rangefinder is the official magazine of WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) - pretty much the biggest wedding and portrait photography organization out there. We are honored to be one of the featured photographers in their current issue, The Wedding Issue - March 2010! Their annual convention is actually being held right now in Las Vegas (so bummed we aren't there, but too much work to do!)
Below is the full article to view, but if you would like to download and read it on your own time, you can download it here.
Rangefinder Magazine - In the center column, scroll down to "This Month -Articles" and we are listed there. So excited!

A Random Polaroid Show by Joel Thursday, March 4, 2010
It's First Friday tomorrow, are you going to come see our first ever Polaroid show?
March 5th - First Friday hours: 5-9pm
Yes, you heard me right. Tomorrow, First Friday, breaking from the norm. A personal photography show of Polaroids. We had to deviate from our normally scheduled Teeny Weeny show for personal reasons, but no matter, it gave us time to put together something we have been wanting to do. (And we will be doing more of this throughout the year.) For awhile. Come in, view, and purchase Joel's original Polaroid art (prints from original polaroids). You won't be sorry!

Emily & Matt's Hershey, Snow-filled Wedding Thursday, March 4, 2010
So we were so excited to photograph our last wedding of the year on December 19th. We had so much fun with Emily and Matt at their engagement session earlier in the year, and we knew the wedding would be more of the same. What we didn't expect was...duh da dun dun - SNOW! The first real snowstorm of the season came blazing through PA just in time for their wedding. We arrived at Emily's parent's house that afternoon ready for battle. Armed with our snow boots, gloves, hats and scarves - we weren't to be deterred by a little bit, er, a lot of snow. Emily was a little worried, as she should have been, but we reassured her that everything would be just peachy! Emily's parent's house was just perfect, containing lots of little hidden spots we could photograph in. We had a lot of good opportunities there as you can see below. Over at the Hershey Country Club (where the ceremony and reception were held) we met up with an equally nervous Matt, and tried to ease him and his groomsmen.
The ceremony went off without a hitch, and as the snow continued to fall, we took Emily and Matt out in the snow! Over at the mansion, we froze our butts off for a bit, then decided it was too cold to stay out any longer. We busted in to Emily's parent's empty house (well not really, Emily had the key) - and finished up their couple portraits.
The reception was a perfectly energetic way to end the last wedding of 2009. It was even complete with Emily and Matt's famous - "Brophard-tini"!!
I loved the staircase here at Emily's parent's, although I can't take credit for this shot, Joel's ended up being better than mine. :)

Emily's dad was constantly on the cell, as guests kept calling in about the snow.

Loved this balcony! Emily showed it to us as soon as we got there, and the snow had slowed down enough so we could get her and the girls out there.

Matt was FREEZING here! But he braved the snow and the cold so we could get some shots with the Hershey Factory in the background.

Ok, yes, there is a story behind this. Emily's uncle is the inventor of the "Kritter Kam" (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) and works for National Geographic as a videographer. (If I remember correctly...) Anyway, he had some Kritter Kams along and was having some fun with them at the reception.

Lindsay and Justin...and Snow. Thursday, March 4, 2010
Lindsay contacted us to photograph some portraits of her and her boyfriend Justin. They have been together for a long time, and she loves our photography, so she thought it was time to convince Justin to do a session. Justin was a little hesitant at first, but I think we quickly won him over to "The Wiebner side" and we were all having a great time by the end of the shoot. We photographed this in Lititz Springs Park, after we had a few inches of snow back at the beginning of December.
